To understand what the Wealth Agent™ training is about, I would like to share with you a heartbreaking story of a widow that left my office in tears with a very uncertain future that she never imagined.
The Widow’s Story
One day, in the late-80s, as a young financial planner I had scheduled an appointment with the widow of one of my clients. She was heartbroken, grieving, and overwhelmed. She told me she was terrified to manage the money for the first time in her life. She was an attractive and well-dressed woman in her 70s.
She was proud to tell me that she had a large amount of money to invest, and she needed something extremely safe because she could not afford to lose a dime. We spoke for a while. Then I asked her, “How much income do you need from your investments to maintain your lifestyle?” She answered immediately that she needed at least $2,000 per month.
(Now, almost 4 decades later, investment income of $2,000 per month was a large amount of monthly income and equivalent to about $15,000 per month today.)
If she needed that much income, it was obvious she must have a large amount to invest. This was when she leaned over to quietly tell me the amount. She proudly told me, “I have Fifty Thousand Dollars”. At first, I thought she must have been misspoken. So, I gently asked, “You have fifty thousand dollars?” She nodded, confidently. In that moment, she believed she was safe and financially secure.
I was young man with little life experience and didn’t yet have the words—or the heart—to tell her the harsh reality of her situation. I had to mentally regroup. I knew I had to explain to her as gently and sympathetically as possible the gravity of her situation.
But how do you explain to someone that they will outlive their savings in a little over two years? Because if you take out $2,000 a month from a savings account of $50,000, her money will only last about 2+ years. What would you tell her? She was a homemaker all her life. Does she sell her home and move into an apartment? Does she move in with one of her children or ask them to support her? She relied on a husband that never really explained their financial situation.
I did the best that I could at the time, and she was shocked and started to cry. Then she started crying uncontrollably. I was in tears. It took her about a half hour to stop sobbing. I walked her to her car as she faced not only the loss of her husband but the terrifying reality of outliving her money. I never forgot her. She had no idea how deeply she impacted me, but I remember that day like it was yesterday.
What if that was your mother? Your sister? Your friend? Or even… you and your family?
Will You Outlive Your Savings in Retirement?
Unfortunately, outliving savings is what has happened to generation after generation of stock investors since 1900. For over 125 years, stock investors essentially put their life savings in the stock market for no predictable return or financial planning result. Then in retirement, they attempt to live on their savings with the hope that they will not outlive their savings when they need it the most.

You will be surprised to learn how the stock market rarely provides high returns of 9%, 10% or more. The Wealth Agent™ training shows you how Wall Street creates high stock market returns that do not exist by using Wall Street Math™. This misleading fake measure of return called “Average Return” is specifically used to mislead stock investors into thinking the stock market provides high historical returns when in fact it does not.
